Age Limit:
- There is no age limit to apply for the 2025 TN Polytechnic admissions.
Qualifying Examination:
- The qualifying examination for admission is CLass 10th (SSLC) or any other equivalent course from a recognized institution or board.
- Applicants who have passed the 2 years vocational training (ITI) in any branch of Engineering and Technology can also apply for admission.

Steps to apply for the TN Polytechnic Admission 2025
Candidates can register for the 2025 TN Polytechnic admissions at various Government Polytechnic colleges in the following steps:
- Go to the official website of Tamil Nadu DoTE at tnpoly.in/.
- Next, navigate to Admissions and Click on Polytechnic Colleges. You will be directed to the TN DoTE portal for admissions to Polytechnic Colleges.
- Next, click on the “Lateral Entry” tab.
- On the next page, if this is your first time registering, then click on New Registration and enter all the required details such as Email ID, Mobile number, and password to generate a password. If you have already generated a password before, enter your email ID and password to login to the portal.
- After logging in you can access the application form for the 2025 admissions.
- Now, enter all the required details on the application form carefully and review it before clicking on Save & next.
- Next, upload scanned copies of all the necessary documents in the instructed format.
- Now, pay the application fee through your preferred method to complete the application process.
- Once the transaction is successful, you will receive an acknowledgment message of the successful application of 2025 TN admissions.
